She Doesn’t Realize The Security Camera Is Rolling, Catches Repulsive Act; Gets…

She thought no one was watching. She thought she could unleash her anger. She thought it was okay to abuse a small animal. She was wrong. She was in the elevator and the security camera was rolling. And when law enforcement go ahold of the video footage, they quickly charged 24-year-old Keevonna Cante Wilson with animal cruelty. And when you see the violent and disturbing video footage below, you’ll understand why she faces such a charge.

While she was in the closed elevator of a building in Aventura, Florida, she kicked her canine brutally. Check out the footage and learn more about what she faces for punishment.

Wilson thought no one was watching as she was in the elevator to the Artech Condominiums on Northeast 188th Street in Aventura. But she was wrong. The surveillance camera was catching every moment of her cruelty toward the animal. And it reveals just how deeply disturbed the young woman must be to treat a poor animal that way.

The security footage came from one of the building’s elevators on September 20th. In the clip, you see the 24-year-old continuously kicking and abusing her small dog. Because she is much bigger than it, the dog has no chance of protecting itself. Plus, it had grown to trust Wilson.

“This was a tiny little Yorkie Mix and it is an egregious crime, there is no excuse at all to do that to a small innocent animal, none,” said Aventura Police Sgt. Chris Goranitis

Wilson was arrested six days after the incident on September 26. And the dog has been removed from her custody by the Miami-Dade Animal Services Investigators and received medical treatment. She had done some damage to the tiny critter.

Since then, the small dog has been placed in the care of a loving foster family.

Before you watch the included video, know that it is disturbing. She ruthless pounds away at the tiny animal with her foot. And after kicking it a number of times as it cowers in the corner of the metal elevator, she chases it into another corner and then repeats the abuse there. The poor dog doesn’t know how to react.

“We were not able to speak to her, she chose not to speak with us but based on the video we found sufficient evidence to place her under arrest for animal cruelty,” Goranitis said.

Wilson was arrested and booked into jail. She was later released. It is unclear if she has an attorney or not.

According to Florida state laws, animal cruelty includes “A person who intentionally commits an act to any animal, or a person who owns or has the custody or control of any animal and fails to act, which results in the cruel death, or excessive or repeated infliction of unnecessary pain or suffering, or causes the same to be done, commits aggravated animal cruelty, a felony of the third degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or by a fine of not more than $10,000, or both.”

Based on the video footage, it seems that Wilson has been charged with a third-degree felony. She could receive jail time or a large fine.
